The Vaping Militia has been given a great award by the members of the community. From “Guide to Vaping’s Best of 2014”, the Vaping Milita won first place in the “Best New Organization” category, and second place in “Best Organization” behind the very deserving organization “CASAA“. Recognition can sometimes keep a person going through all turmoils. With great recognition comes great power. And, with great power comes great responsibility.
Looking back at 2014, we have made some huge progress. But, we need to keep striving to get more active members. It has seemed to me that even though the total number of vapers has grown extremely rapidly, it has not lead to a large increase of active advocates. The object was to get every state in the U.S. to establish a vapers rights organization of some sort. This has largely been accomplished with the help of the Vaping Militia. But, the organizations can not stand on their own. As a member of the Vaping Militia, you should be actively seeking out your own local organization.
“With this award, and $5, I can almost buy a coffee at Starbucks.” said Jim Ranes (co-founder of Vaping Militia) at a recent vape meet in Minneapolis Minnesota.
Not meaning to down play the gratitude for those that voted for the Vaping Militia, we need to look forward. I’ve said it before. Vaping has saved my life. So, I will always do everything that I can to protect the industry. I owe the vaping community more than it will ever owe me.
